It’s fun to play into the spirit of halloween but if you seriously believe that ghosts are real and you see them on occasion or even regularly. We have some important news for you.

It is very possible that you are being poisoned.

Seeing a ghost or experiencing a paranormal event is often more than just a simple visual event. You don’t just see the ghost. You also feel it. You are often filled with feelings of dread, panic, anxiety, fear.

Well those same feelings are also symptoms of poisoning. And specifically carbon monoxide poisoning.

Thats right. A colorless, odorless, tasteless and very toxic gas that seeps out of the ground often in basements is known to illicit feelings of dread, panic, anxiety and fear. In addition, carbon monoxide poisoning can also cause hallucinations. Hearing and seeing unexplained things.

This toxic gas also causes dizziness, confusion, weakness and can even lead to death. If you’ve experienced and haunting and felt the need to run away but your legs felt like lead poles now you know why.

Sources of carbon monoxide in the home range from wood burning stoves, propane stoves or appliances, to natural seepage from the ground. Detecting carbon monoxide is very easy with a carbon monoxide detector such as this one from Kidde.

The problem is that many houses don’t have any. In fact most houses barely have enough smoke detectors.

If you want your hauntings to stop get your gas company to come out and inspect your home for carbon monoxide. And if you don’t have any carbon monoxide detectors, definitely get a few installed in your home.
